Images in Words with Lisa Underwood
This six-week course explores the use of various typography fonts and your own penmanship to create images. Pictures are formed by combining words of different font styles, using pencils, markers and printed letters. The actual words and subjects should be of personal interest to enhance the creative process and make the artwork more meaningful.
Personal reflection and creativity will be expanded. The process is cathartic. And Lisa presents in a fun, positive way. Students will walk away with finished pieces of typographic artwork that can be framed and/or used create a collage in the continuation course “Beyond Images in Words”.
